The Esquire was created to fill the void of an upscale bar/lounge in the eastern section of Pasadena. Relying on their core belief that everyone who walks thru the door should feel and be treated as a VIP of royal status. Thus, the name Esquire was chosen.

The two partners Al Cabraloff and Greg Felikian employed famed interior designer Alex Padilla of Butterfield 8 to interpret their vision into Pasadena's premier upscale bar and lounge. The destination would incorporate old Pasadena's elite with Pasadena nouveau crowd. The Who's Who Lounge of the area. Designed to be a place for late afternoon business meetings, early evening relaxation rendezvous, and late night intimate social gatherings.
